Hi
I am the founding CEO and Director of Training at the International School of Resource Therapy, which is also known as the Emmerson School of RT. As you can probably tell from my name, I am an 'Emmerson' having acquired the name by marriage to Gordon Emmerson. Along with Gordon, I am also the co-founder of Resource Therapy International Inc., the umbrella association responsible for accreditation, resources and other ongoing supports for graduates and students of RT worldwide. Although I have now retired from executive duties within the Board of Resource Therapy International, I continue to maintain the RT International website and more importantly, I do what I love most, which is to train others in this fascinating mental health treatment protocol and practice as an Advanced Clinical RT specialist.
Since Resource Therapy's inception in 2014 as a precise therapeutic protocol evolved from Emmerson's advanced work of Ego State Therapy, I have managed many RT training programs, mostly in my capacity as Gordon's lifetime partner, as such taking on the voluntary roles of personal administrator, secretary, and training and practice manager, for Prof Emmerson. In 2022 Gordon Emmerson and I divorced, and I chose to cease supporting his private practice and training schedules, instead focusing on consolidating the experiences gained over the previous decade into the more formalized formation of the International School of Resource Therapy.
Organizing, assisting, and training new practitioners to RT is not new to me. I was the first such organizer worldwide having hosted many RT training programs both in Australia and in various locations overseas from its transition to Emmerson's Advanced Ego State Therapy to Resource Therapy 9 years ago.
For close to a decade, I have had the indelible honour of being able to contribute widely to a strong and ever-growing international community of therapists, many of which have come to lovingly call this their RT family. I have enjoyed facilitating collaborations and many professional friendships across the world.
Prior to training with Gordon Emmerson, I practiced as a psychotherapist in Australia for 15 years and facilitated a number of small training programs as well as a Centre for wellness and training near Thornbury, Victoria, coordinating 18 allied health therapists and running many small group and individual therapy programs.
In 2020 I decided to trial running a Clinical online training program with a number of RT Trainer graduates, creating the very first online RT trainer team in the world. The program was a huge success and has since been replicated many times. Our group of senior trainers (pictured above) are, in my opinion, three of the most precision dedicated expert trainers in the world and I am very grateful to have their support for and teaching contributions to the International School.
We hope you will join us for your Resource Therapy Training. In doing so you can be certain you will receive RT knowledge exactly as it was developed and taught by Professor Gordon Emmerson. There are many excellent RT training institutes and hubs for you to choose from these days and many more to come in the future as more Clinical therapists choose to broaden their career directions to include training. It is my hope to ensure that our future therapists and trainers are taught in the best possible way, in turn, to to enable graduates to produce therapists and trainers who can guarantee the work of Resource Therapy continues to benefit people around the world as it was developed, as a complete and outstanding therapy... currently undergoing excellent clinical research programs to enable it to enter the mainstream stage of therapy where it truly belongs.
Our promise to you is that attending this school will guarantee you are trained in the no-nonsense no-hype no-hybrid no-watering-down methods of RT that will ensure you gain the results your clients want and need.
